John Lewis & Partners has announced that its partner and operations director, Dino Rocos, is to retire at the end of May 2019 after 43 years in the business.

From the end of January until then he will report to group finance director for the John Lewis partnership, Patrick Lewis, and will be leading the company’s ongoing work on its future supply chain.

Bérangère Michel, partner and finance director, has been appointed operations director and will take up her new role at the end of January. A recruitment process is currently underway to find a new finance director, which will be covered in the interim by Andy Mounsey, currently head of finance.

Commenting on the changes in a statement, Paula Nickolds, partner and managing director, said: “I can’t overemphasise the scale of the contribution Dino has made to John Lewis - he has transformed every element of our supply chain to create the distribution network we enjoy today.

“I am extremely grateful to him for his support and commitment to the Partnership. Bérangère and Andy both bring a wealth of experience to their new roles and I wish them the very best of luck.”
